Rosita Extra-Virgin Cod Liver Oil (EVCLO) is crafted in small batches from wild cod (Gadus morhua) sustainably harvested by line and pole from the pristine waters of Norway. An exclusive cold-process artisan method extracts the oil and preserves the delicate nutrients that are naturally present in wild cod livers.
Rosita EVCLO softgel capsules are well suited to people who need to take their oils on-the-go. EVCLO softgels do not require refrigeration and are small in size and coated in 100% fish gelatin softgel capsule, making them easy to swallow. They work well for children, or those who don’t have access to refrigeration at the time that they take the oil.
The softgels are more expensive per serving however, due to the high cost of production on this item, which is why the liquid oil is more economical for everyday use. The liquid is much better value than the softgels, with up to 3 times the amount of omega-3s and fat-soluble vitamins when you compare the two bottles side by side.

When choosing cod liver oil, it's vital to know where the fish came from and how they were processed. For instance, many cod liver oils available commercially are derived from fish caught in large-scale industrial operations. These kinds of fishing methods can seriously harm the environment, especially coastal ecosystems. [1] Another potential concern comes from fish sourced from farms, which might contain traces of antibiotics and chemicals used in fish farming. [2] Furthermore, farmed fish diets are increasingly relying on soy, corn, canola, palm, and sunflower feed. This shift can impact the quality of essential omega-3 fatty acids like eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). [3]
The well-being of the farmed fish used for producing the oil can also be compromised due to overcrowded conditions and farming practices. This situation can lead to stress and make them more susceptible to diseases. [4] Some people also notice that this affects the oil's taste and texture.
In contrast, Rosita takes a different approach by selecting fresh, wild fish from the pristine waters of Norway. The fish thrive in their natural surroundings, benefiting from cleaner water, ample space to move, and the availability of wild plants. As a result, these fish possess elevated levels of n-3 fatty acids in comparison to their farmed or cultivated counterparts. [5]
Rosita hand-selects only the best quality livers before storing within a dark, oxygen-free environment at a temperature just slightly warmer than the ocean. This helps the livers to naturally release the delicate oils without the need for chemicals, heat or pressure.

Rosita Extra Virgin Fish Oils are tested for purity by leading European institutes, so you can be sure it meets all the strictest European requirements.
All Rosita bottles (both EVCLO and Ratfish Oil) are nitrogen-flushed in order to remove any oxygen prior to the bottle being sealed. This is done so that the product’s freshness is preserved during shipment in any temperatures. So, even if the bottle arrives warm, the product should still be fresh as heat can only influence the freshness of the oil if there is oxygen in the bottle.

These essential omega acids cannot be made by our body. We need to supplement them and we believe Rosita delivers the highest quality of these precious EPA and DHA.

Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil Softgels packaging has recently changed from plastic to glass with an aluminium lid.
Due to the air-tight nature of the aluminium lid, some customers may have difficulty opening the bottle. To make it easier to open, simply tap the outside edges of the lid a few times with a kitchen butter knife. This should make the lid easier to open. Please do not exert undue pressure on the bottle.
You may also notice a little extra space in the new glass bottle, but there are still 90 Softgels in your bottle as before.
Rosita EVCLO Softgels should be stored at room temperature (15°C - 25°C, 58°F - 78°F). Do not refrigerate as this can damage the fish gelatin capsule. We recommend that the softgels are kept in dark storage.
3 softgels daily would be a good basic maintenance dose for people, whereas 6 softgels would be approaching a therapeutic level of A, D and the omega fats for people with chronic inflammation other health conditions. 5ml/1 teaspoon of EVCLO liquid is equal to 9 Softgels and that would be in our view too many for most people to take at which time they should consider the EVCLO Liquid format.
Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil is exactly the same regardless of the form you choose to purchase. Both the softgels and liquid have a full spectrum of omega fatty acids, high levels of vitamins A and D in their natural, unadulterated form and are raw and fresh. Some people might struggle with the taste of the liquid and chose to use the softgels instead.
